A Century of Trusted Eyecare

S Walton Eyecare is a family-run independent optical practice proudly serving the South Shields community since 1926. Now approaching our centenary year, we continue to build on a tradition of clinical excellence, personal service, and genuine community care.

Our Story

Our story began in 1926 with a small practice on Stanhope Road and a simple promise: to look after every patient like family.

Here’s how that promise has evolved through the years.
